TranscribeMe Tutorial : How to Accept Jobs Once You Get Accepted to be a Transcriber

Intro to TranscribeMe :

 

How to navigate the TranscribeMe Work Hub once you get accepted as a transcriptionist for TranscribeMe ! I'll show you where to look for jobs, how to complete and submit transcription tasks, and what steps you should take after you are accepted as a transcriber.

 

I passed the test but I still had to wait until my account was activated and once that happened I received I think it was just a Couple days later this Email that said " YOUR TRANSCRIBER ACCOUNT HAS NOW BEEN ACTIVATED ! About Transcriber Water cooler : TranscribeMe is a relatively new company that has created a platform to engagement transcribers, and other virtual professionals. In a way that is easy and user - friendly.

 

 

Style Guide :

 

A few quick tips on the Style Guide ;

 

• Start each Job with a Lowercase Letter, unless the word is a proper noun, and don't end the file with punctuation, even if you are sure it is the end of a sentence.

• DO NOT input speaker IDs or timestamps on the Jobs tab/Transcription page.

• Only use the correct tags listed in the Style Guide and omit filter words such as ''um'' when working on clean verbatim files.

• Adhere to the Style Guidelines listed on the right-hand side of every file. Please refer to them while you are completing your Job.   

 

How to Login ?

 

You can click on transcribeme.com. Click Login as a TRANSCRIPTIONIST. I can see I'm logged in now then I'm going to click on jobs. Welcome to the TranscribeMe Work Hub ! Please read the following Terms of Service carefully. You need to confirm that you accept these Terms prior to performing work on the TranscribeMe Work Hub. You've read through the Terms & Conditions you can click Continue.

 

Navigating the new Work Hub ?

 

Now you see that redirected Automatically into newworkhub.transcribeme.com. There Says : All work is currently assigned. Click over there It says, Instant Answers. Click on the FAQ Section. You put a Technical difficulties. Click Next.

Completing an assigned job ?

 

Okay, so finally you kept refreshing to find me work and it's finally come up with this so right there they have in this section It says, The Previous Transcription ends with these words. I would Press play and that will start playing the audio which I can begin transcribing now remember we don't need to put a Speaker ID and also we wouldn't start with this a Capital letter unless it was a pronoun or a proper noun. Let's see the Other Speaker Click Enter.

 

Keyboard Shortcuts or Hotkeys :

 

You can Press Forward to Forward, Backward to Backward and you can click the Playback Speed if you want to go down make it really show if you want to speed it up you can adjust the volume put on loop if you wanted to install a pedal you could do Plug-in available on the Chrome Web store. There it says Style Guide Clean Verbatim. There give some tips things that they want for this so use U.S English Clean Verbatim etc. We have hotkeys Ctrl + Period = Forward, Ctrl + comma = Backward, Ctrl + / = Play/Pause, Ctrl + ] = Volume Up, Ctrl + [ = Volume Down, Ctrl + ' = Playback Speed Up, Ctrl + : = Playback Speed Down.

 

Cancel the Transcription Job ?

 

When you're ready to submit the file that you've transcribed you can click Submit. You can Click Cancel and It says, Please be aware that if you cancel your assigned Job more than three times in a five-minute period, you will lose your place in the queue and will not be able to pick up a new job for two minutes. You will also not receive Payment for any job that is canceled. Are you sure you want to cancel this Job ? You can click Cancel if the Transcription is difficult.

 

Work Hub Dashboard : 

 

There You see your level. You can also change the Interface Settings the Work Hub Dashboard If you like Dark or light. You can click Manage Hotkeys if you would like to change these put the cursor into text field Press key or Shift + Key you want to set as a Hotkey. Go back and Click on Jobs again it take you to the newworkhub and it says, Waiting for work.

 

Final thoughts :

 

I can see this is Similar to Crowd-Surf and maybe this pays better than Crowd-Surf does but Crowd-Surf has a lot of Work available If you don't like job you can Just click Next Job.
